Toothbar
Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: September 28, 2026
Toothbar wants everyone to be able to learn about our practice and book a visit, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnifiers or voice control. This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard commonly used to measure website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
1. What we’ve done
- Every page has one main heading, landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a “skip to content” link.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline, and the menu, questions and carousels can be opened, closed and paused without a mouse.
- Text meets WCAG contrast ratios, including the headline over the video at the top of the home page, and form fields have visible borders.
- Anything that moves on its own can be paused: the background video has a pause button, and the photo and doctor carousels have their own pause buttons and stop while your mouse or keyboard focus is on them. If your device asks for reduced motion, nothing moves at all. Nothing on the site flashes.
- The background video has no sound and shows nothing that isn’t also described in text.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have visible labels, mark required fields, fill in automatically where your browser allows, and explain any problem in text next to the field.
- Pages work at 200% zoom and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways, and buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably.
- Our patient instructions are available as accessible PDFs, and the one that was only an image also has a web page version.
2. How we check
Every type of page on this site was tested with automated tools (axe-core and Google Lighthouse) and checked by hand with a keyboard, at 200% zoom and on a narrow phone screen. We review the site again whenever we add new pages or features.
3. Known limitations
Some features come from other companies, and we don’t fully control their accessibility: the online scheduling page, the embedded Google Map, the Vimeo video player and the Cherry and CareCredit financing websites. If any of them gets in your way, call us and we’ll book your visit, give you directions or walk you through financing over the phone.
4. Feedback and help
If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in another format, let us know and we’ll help:
- Phone: (512) 949-8202
- Email: info@toothbar.com
- Mail: Toothbar, 211 Walter Seaholm Dr, LR 160, Austin, TX 78701
We aim to respond within two business days.
5. Our office
If you need an accommodation for your visit, such as extra time, help with forms or a companion in the room, tell us when you book and we’ll plan for it.
